GB Provincetown, LLC announces Lease of Governor Bradford Restaurant and Bar in Provincetown.

Provincetown, MA — November 14, 2025 — GB Provincetown, (GBP), LLC—the partnership

that owns Pates, Chatham, The Chatham Cut, Chatham, Chapin’s Bayside, Dennis, and CODO,

Chatham—is proud to announce it is the new operator of the iconic Governor Bradford

Restaurant. As the new custodians of this beloved Provincetown institution, the group is

committed to honoring its rich history while revitalizing the experience with hearty, high-quality

meals (complimented with cold pints), vibrant entertainment and attentive service for locals and

visitors alike. We commend the current operators for their excellent work. Their culinary and

creative visions have revitalized The Governor Bradford! We will eagerly accept the torch

being passed and carry on in making it an irreplaceable part of Provincetown. We are honored to

assume custodianship of this amazing property in January and will be ready to launch in April!

Honoring Tradition and Quality

GBP understands the Governor Bradford’s unique place in Ptowns’s heritage. The leadership

team is deeply dedicated to preserving the traditions, memories, and warm hospitality that have

defined the establishment for generations. Guests can expect simple, robust, flavorful dishes

crafted from quality ingredients and served with the same welcoming spirit (and spirits) that has

long been a hallmark of Governor Bradford.

The group will continue and expand the restaurant’s popular entertainment offerings, including

the vibrant drag karaoke shows and additional live performances that have made The Governor

Bradford a cornerstone of Provincetown nightlife. Future programming will broaden these

experiences while remaining true to the traditions that make Provincetown unique.

Leadership Rooted in Provincetown (Familiar Faces!)

Vince Bosely will serve as General Manager, with over 30 years of hospitality experience and

deep, longstanding ties to Provincetown. His connection to the community and passion for

service will guide the restaurant through this exciting new chapter.

M. Joe Johnston III, Director of Operations for the partnership, will oversee the project. With

more than 20 years of restaurant general-management experience—much of it in

Provincetown—Joe’s leadership will ensure a seamless transition and uphold the highest

operational standards.

Both Vince and Joe bring a strong understanding of Provincetown’s unique needs, challenges,

and traditions. Their local insight and knowledge will respect the heritage and improve the

experience, continuing the tradition of the restaurant as a true gathering place for all.

The newly revitalized Governor Bradford Restaurant is scheduled to open its doors in April
